Paul’s letter to the churches of Ephesus serves as both a picture of beautiful fellowship in the Lord and as an instructive source of God’s will for His church to follow as one people. Paul gives his thanks for the genuine faith the churches have demonstrated and reminds them of the full gift of salvation they have received. Regardless of who you are, where you came from or what you have done, the gift of salvation is a spring of water which all are welcome to drink from, to be rehydrated, reborn. As one grows stronger in their faith, the adversary will try further spiritual assaults, looking to tear down that replenished body. Paul instructs these devoted Christians of Ephesus how to combat the evil forces of darkness.
